Lane Aviation Groups Exceptional Pilots.

Professionalism You Can Trust. Training You Can Count On.

When you fly with Lane Aviation, you're flying with experienced professionals who are committed to safety, precision, and exceptional service. Unlike many private aviation providers that rely on contract crews, Lane Aviation employs its own pilots. Every flight is operated by pilots who are trained to our standards, understand our aircraft, and are dedicated to delivering a consistent ownership experience on all managed aircraft.

Industry-Leading Recurrent Training

Professional pilots never stop training. Every Lane Aviation pilot completes annual recurrent training at one of the nation's leading business aviation training organizations:

- LOFT Aviation — Carlsbad, California

- RTC Flight Training — Tampa, Florida

Each recurrent training cycle includes:

- Aircraft systems

- Crew Resource Management Training (CRM)

- Abnormal & Emergency procedures

- FAA-approved Level D full-motion simulator training

- Annual FAA proficiency evaluation checkride

These comprehensive programs ensure every pilot maintains the knowledge, skills, and judgment expected of professional business aviation flight crews.

The Gold Standard in Flight Training

Lane Aviation pilots train annually in FAA-approved Level D full-motion simulators, the highest level of flight simulation available.

These advanced simulators replicate the aircraft's cockpit, handling characteristics, avionics, weather, and aircraft systems with remarkable accuracy, allowing pilots to safely practice situations that cannot be recreated in flight.

Training scenarios include:

- Engine failures during all phases of flight

- Aircraft system malfunctions

- Severe weather operations

- Instrument approach procedures

- Abnormal & Emergency procedures

- Crew  Resource Management (CRM)

- Aeronautical decision-making (ADM)

Carefully Selected Flight Crews

Joining the Lane Aviation flight department is highly selective. Every pilot is carefully chosen for their FAA qualifications, professionalism, and commitment to exceptional customer service. Technical ability is only part of what we look for. From the moment they greet you on the ramp until you arrive at your destination, our pilots are trained to uphold the high standards our owners have come to expect from Lane Aviation.

Single-Pilot or Two-Pilot Operations

Many Citation aircraft may be operated by a single qualified pilot under FAA regulations. For owners who prefer the added redundancy and workload sharing of a two-pilot crew, Lane Aviation also offers two-pilot operations. This flexibility allows owners to select the level of crew support that best fits their mission and personal preference.

Our Commitment

Every decision we make is guided by a simple principle: provide every owner and passenger with a safe, professional, and enjoyable private aviation experience. Through experienced flight crews, rigorous annual training, standardized operating procedures, and an uncompromising commitment to safety, Lane Aviation delivers the confidence and consistency our owners expect every time they fly.

The Lane Flight Assurance Proces

Every flight follows a standardized five-step process designed to deliver the highest levels of safety, professionalism, and service from the moment you schedule your trip until you arrive at your destination on your aircraft. Behind every managed flight is a coordinated team working to ensure every detail has been reviewed, verified, and prepared before your aircraft ever leaves the ground.

1. Flight Planning & Owner Coordination

Your journey begins by scheduling your flight with your dedicated Owner Services Representative (OSR). Your OSR coordinates your itinerary, passenger preferences, catering, ground transportation, and any special accommodations to ensure every detail is in place before departure.

2. Crew Assignment & Flight Readiness

Next our Flight Coordination team assigns your flight crew based on aircraft qualifications, and operational readiness. Every assignment is made with safety, compliance, and efficiency as the highest priorities.

3. Flight Planning & Weather Analysis

Before every departure, our flight operations team develops your route, reviews current and forecast weather, evaluates NOTAMs, airport conditions, airspace restrictions, and aircraft performance. Careful planning helps ensure each flight is conducted safely and as efficiently as possible.

4. Aircraft Airworthiness Verification

Before every flight, FAA-certified maintenance personnel verify that your aircraft meets all regulatory requirements and Lane Aviation maintenance standards. Aircraft inspections, maintenance status, and any required service items are reviewed to confirm the aircraft is fully airworthy and ready for departure.

5. Pilot Briefing & Final Safety Checks

Before passengers arrive, the flight crew conducts a comprehensive briefing and completes a detailed preflight inspection of the aircraft. Flight plans, weather, aircraft performance, passenger requirements, and operational considerations are reviewed before every departure.

Only after each step has been completed does your flight depart.

A Standard You Can Trust

Safety isn't a single event—it's a disciplined process followed on every flight.

The Lane Flight Assurance Process brings together Owner Services, Flight Operations, Maintenance, and our flight crews through a standardized system designed to deliver a safe, seamless, and professional ownership experience every time you fly.
